How PivoHub Keeps Your Payment Data Safe

Security above all.

If you've ever met us, you know we're pretty easy going at PivoHub. But when it comes to security, we don't joke around.

Handling money is extra sensitive, that's why we partnered with the most trusted payment processor in the world to bring online payments to the platform.

About Stripe

Stripe is a global leader in payment processing, used by Google, Amazon, Slack, and millions of other businesses around the world.

In fact, so many businesses rely on Stripe, that it already has over 90% of North American credit cards on file in their card vault. If, for example, you have used your card with Amazon, Stripe most likely already has your card on file.

How Stripe's secure vault keeps your data safe

When you enter payment information in PivoHub, although it seems like it's going to PivoHub, it is actually sent securely directly from your browser to Stripe's secure card vault.

Stripe securely stores this card and returns a reference number and the last 4 digits of the card number back to PivoHub. This is the only information we store.

Next time you make a payment, we only provide the reference number to Stripe in order to charge the card.

PivoHub never touches the card as it never leaves Stripe's secure vault.

Stripe is the world-wide payment leader

In short, no. Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. Every year, Stripe is independently audited by firms approved by Visa or Mastercard and is used to process more than $100,000,000,000 a year in transactions.

Stripe’s advanced capabilities let us do things like

  • show the supplier's name and invoice numbers on the buyer's credit card statement to aid in the resolution of reconciliation issues.
  • Automatically update expired/replaced credit cards so that you don’t have to.
